Abimbola Lawson is the Chief Operating Officer at Allianz Nigeria. She oversees the strategic offices that include HR, Compliance, Legal, Internal Control, Admin and Technology. She is also the Company Secretary to the Board of Directors.
A lawyer by profession, Abimbola, started her career at AEC legal, one of the foremost legal firms in Nigeria and thereafter moved to ARM Life Plc. She had a short stint at Fina Microfinance Bank as pioneer in-house Company Secretary before joining Union Assurance Company Plc (which has now evolved to Allianz Nigeria Insurance Ltd) in 2014.
Abimbola bagged an LLB from the University of Lagos and has a Master’s degree in International Business Law from Coventry University, United Kingdom. She is also a certified chartered company secretary.
