Job Description

 

- Set up efficient and compliant workflows to guarantee high quality for the transactions and processes within accounting.

- Reporting for internal and external audiences.

- Perform analysis and review ledgers of financial statements.

- Preparation of monthly/quarterly and year end closing reports.

- Updating and maintaining accounting journals, ledgers and other records detailing financial business transactions.

- Responsible for the production of statutory and regulatory reports.

- Responsible for the review of accounts reconciliations.

- Ensure inventory and accounting review work of accounts related to technical accounting.

- Evaluate and allocate premium provisions, claims payable provisions and other technical provisions in accordance with local regulations.

- Close collaboration with the regional team.

 

 

Job Requirements

 

- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an accountant.

- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or any related field.

- Certification in ICAN or ACCA is an added advantage.

- Work experience in an insurance company is an added advantage.

- Experience in GL accounting, GAAP and SAP F1 accounting systems.

- Good knowledge of local accounting rules including Taxes.

- Strong analytical, communication and influence skills.
